I was on it for 8 months and it was a pretty high dosage (up to 80mg or 120mg). As for the side effects, it was pretty bad but nothing I couldn’t handle. I don’t really get headaches so I don’t remember if I had any. As for stomach aches, just feels like you’re not digesting something right. You’ll definitely be able to function as work. I was in school full-time :) You’re gonna get dry eyes in the morning (use eye gels at night) but NOT impared vision. I was extremely lactose intolerant before accuntane but somehow it changed my digestive system… Also you do get a bit tired but I think thats from school stress. I got a blood test every month and my doctor monitor me like a hawk (taking depression tests and stuff like that).

Give it a try and I guarantee that all the pain will be worth it!

Thank you!! Yay accutane is awesome! Definitely hard on the body though. You’re going to get oily skin, dry eyes, stomach aches, and a lot of other symptoms. Definitely be careful and make sure you follow directions. 

As for red marks and scars, they do go away but not fully. I scar easily but nothing confidence can’t fix (and foundation for the nights out).

The effects were permanent for sure! I have one or two small white heads here and there every month, nothing too bad at all. If your acne does come back, just take accutane a year after. I knew a girl who took it twice and her skin is flawless now. 

Keep the hope up! If you need some help, I’m here for ya!

(By the way, I was 19 when I took it and in the second year of university! It was the worst but you just got to stay confident)
